88 points for the "Premstallerhof"
The Italian wine magazine "Gambero Rosso" in its latest edition has tasted South Tyrolean Schiava wines. In this occasion, our Alto Adige Santa Maddalena Classico DOC "Premstallerhof" 2009 has reached 88 points and was classified as second best of the Santa Maddalena category. "Gambero Rosso" describes our "Premstallerhof" as following:
"The winery Rottensteiner is situated at the beginning of Sarentino Valley, in the middle of the classic Lagrein zone and two steps from the Santa Maddalena area. The Santa Maddalena from Premstallerhof also this year is among the best of its class. The colour is ruby, the aroma slightly fumé with notes of violets and cherries, the taste is dry and fullbodied, spicy with notes of almond and china-bark."
